Marble Arch used to serve as the entrance gate to the Buckingham Palace until 1851. It was then moved to its current location at the crossroads of Oxford Street, Edgewater Road and Park Lane, next to Hyde Park.

Marble Arch was relocated to the place earlier known as the Tyburn Tree, a place for public execution since early 14th century.

Marble Arch is stop #4 on both Blue and Red Routes of Big Bus London Sightseeing double-decker bus.
