Day 2 - St Paul's and Tower

See St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge and The Tower of London.

Arrive at St.Paul's Underground Station (Central Line). Walk to St Paul's Cathedral.

The average visit time to St Paul's Cathedral is 2 hours. St Paul's Cathedral is a masterpiece of architecture and a place of national significance. From state funerals for British heroes such as Sir Winston Churchill, to the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer, and National Services of Thanksgiving to celebrate the Silver, Golden and Diamond Jubilee’s of Her Majesty the Queen.

Climb the 257 steps to the Whispering Gallery to test the unique acoustics. Climb 119 further steps to the Stone Gallery and then 152 final steps to the Golden Gallery, both affording spectacular panoramic views across London. There are guided and audio tours at St Paul's. After a visit St Paul's you can walk to the nearby One New Change - it is a shopping and dining destination, and a great place to have a cup of coffee or light lunch, and get a little rest. For more information about One New Change in London, visit their website.

From One New Change head to the Tower of London. You can walk (about 20 minutes), or you can take a tube. Walk to Mansion House station and arrive at Tower Hill. Either District or Circle lines, it is a 3 stop trip. Arrive at the Tower of London.

If you don't have your tickets yet, go to the Visitor Center and purchase tickets. Or buy tickets online before the trip. The visit takes 3 hours on average. Make sure not to miss The Crown Jewels, The White Tower, Medieval Palace, an exhibition about torture, Coins and Kings exhibition. We suggest purchasing an audio guide, a very helpful tool to navigate through the Tower of London and learn many interesting historic facts. The audio tour is available in several languages.

The Tower Bridge is there as well - you will see it when you enter The Tower of London. After you leave the Tower of London, and if you have energy, you can walk to the bridge and visit The Tower Bridge Exhibition. Or simply enjoy the views of one of the most beautiful bridges in the world.

There is a Thames cruise stop near the main entrance to The Tower. If the weather is nice, why not enjoy a cruise on the river Thames.

You can visit a show at night or pay a visit to The Royal Opera House. Or just enjoy a great dinner and a drink in one of London's restaurants.
